For the past decade I have worked as a freelance writer, reporter and editor covering a wide range of subjects, from city politics to travel to arts and culture and more. My work has appeared in Billboard, Los Angeles Times, Rolling Stone, Vice, Nylon, W, Spin, The Hollywood Reporter, L.A. WeeklyFlaunt and others, spanning mediums to include print, digital, video and documentary projects.

As a cast member of the 2007 MTV series I'm From Rolling Stone, I became comfortable on-camera and behind the scenes working with a TV crew. I have continued this since with video interviews for various editorial outlets such as The Hollywood Reporter, Spin, Yours Truly, Filter, Blender, and Hearst's Sweet channel on Snapchat, while first familiarizing myself with long-form formats when I contributed as a writer and researcher to Diplo's 2008 documentary Favela on Blast

Below is a selection of articles I've written.

Billboard.Biz, West Coast news editor (2017 - present)

As the West Coast news editor for Billboard.Biz, I direct editorial strategy for Billboard's music industry-specific website by assigning, editing, writing and reporting daily news stories and features, managing a steady stream of content. In addition to covering business news (record labels, publishing, branding, touring and more), my intent has been to approach trade reporting with consumers in mind through industry and legal analysis to move stories forward and appeal to an interested audience.

As we work to redesign the Billboard.Biz website, I am spearheading new content initiatives, starting with a new industry profile series called 'Spotlight,' which launched in January 2018.

'Spotlight' music industry profile Series:
